Jameson Banjo Bridge Placement
Measure the distance from the front of the nut to the 12th fret wire. In this photo of the Jameson banjo, the distance is 13 3/16 inches
Place the bridge exactly the same distance from the 12th fret. With this Jameson 5 string banjo, that is 13 3/16 inches
In this example the total distance from the front of the nut to the bridge is 26 3/8″ inches, or twice the distance of the nut to the 12th fret. It is common practice to use a pencil to mark on your banjo head where proper placement is so if in the future your bridge moves, you know where to place it
